notMYkid’s East Valley Schools Scholarship Program

The challenges kids and families face today are complex and have the potential to devastate lives and derail futures. It is extremely important to work together to protect the kids in our community. At notMYkid, we prepare kids to face everyday challenges with courage and confidence. Through our unique peer-to-peer education model, we address the life-changing issues kids are facing today. With prevention at the forefront of all programming, our mission is to reach young people who fight internal battles about what is right and wrong and to provide them with the knowledge and resources that empower them to make positive choices in difficult situations.

This fall, five winning East Valley schools will each receive three sponsored notMYkid presentations. These presentations can be used for students, parents, or faculty and can cover any of the following topics: Substance Abuse, Internet Safety, Bullying, Depression/Self-Injury, Unhealthy Relationships, and Body Image. Presentations last approximately one hour and can be scheduled for any time of day. Schools from the following districts are invited to apply for the scholarship:

• Gilbert Public Schools
• Mesa Public Schools
• Chandler Unified School District
• Higley Unified School District

Please complete the application (Microsoft Word) and return to notMYkid by October 31, 2014.
