Annielaurie Van Wie is a Commissioner with the Maricopa County Superior Court appointed in 2013. Her current assignment is in [adult] Criminal Court and she previously worked in Juvenile Court. She edited the upcoming 2016 Judicial College of Arizona DUI Reference Manual. She received her undergraduate and Juris Doctorate at the University of Wisconsin, Madison. Before joining the bench she was a prosecutor for the Maricopa County Attorney’s Office (MCAO) for eleven years. There she prosecuted public corruption, criminal enterprise, child prostitution, wiretap, and computer cases. She was Assistant Bureau Chief for both the Special Crimes and the Fraud and Identity Theft Enforcement Major Crimes Bureaus and worked in the Gang Bureau. She is on the Steering Committee for the Arizona Women Lawyer’s Association and served as Chair of the Criminal Justice Section with the State Bar. Annielaurie received the Inspector General’s Integrity Award, Commendation from the Office of Health and Human Services, MCAO Attorney of the Year Award, and nomination for the Arizona Felony Prosecutor of the Year. Annielaurie volunteers for the Courthouse Experience, Special Olympics, National Adoption Day, Veteran’s Stand Down, ASU Mock Trials, and teaches a fitness class for the Maricopa County Wellness program. She enjoys running and other fitness activities with her husband and family. Annielaurie is very excited to join the NotMYkid Professional Advisory Committee.
